DJI Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro Plus Released

DJI Phantom 4 Pro and Phantom 4 Pro Plus Released

The new 20MP 1-inch sensor Camera with 100Mbps is capable of shooting 4k at 60fps. It is the first DJI camera to incorporate a mechanical aperture which eliminates rolling shutter distortion.

The Phantom 4 Pro now has 5 directions of Obstacle Sensors, and 4 directions of Obstacle Avoidance Sensors

The Phantom 4 Pro Plus has a Remote Controller with built in 5.5-inch 1080p Screen which is more than twice as bright as conventional Smart Devices.

A new Waypoint Flight System called DRAW allows pilots to simply draw on the screen and the drone will follow the route while keeping its Altitude locked. There are two models called Standard and Manual.

Active Track has been improved and now has three Modes :

  1. Trace – Follow behind or in front of an object. Automatically avoid Obstacles
  2. Profile – Fly along side a subject to get profile shots in different angles
  3. Spotlight – Keep the camera trained on a subject while the drone flies almost anywhere

Tap Fly has also been improved with three Modes :

  1. Forward
  2. Backward
  3. Free

Flight time has been increased slightly to a maximum of 30 minutes from 27 minutes. Since we only got 21 minutes with the Phantom 4, this will probably be more like 24 minutes.
